What if...

What if you find one day,
you've got All that you ever sought
Will the time stand still?
Will your heart skip beating?
Will all your efforts turn to naught?

What if you find one day, you've lost
Everything you ever got
Will you diminish into oblivion
Without a future, without any past
Or will you stand up and give it one more shot?

If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breath a word about your loss...
~Rudyard Kipling

Good structure, and sth that would be equivalent to veer-ras.

But i see more of someone who has just had a loss, and is straining to foght again, rather than a leader who is trying to inspire.

Am i looking through my eyes?

@ Akash: Thanks, can't help the rasas. You know my fondness for Hindi literature :)

Losses, there have been many, and I'm too lost to keep count. Yes, it is more about fighting the devil inside rather than the demons outside.

The post you read (November Rain), was published incomplete. so do feel welcome to read how it goes.

And demons within are the real ones. the externalities are only circumstantial.

@Akash: I was itching to see the complete post and was refreshing the page continuously to see the final version. The invitation does make me feel special. Thanks :)

When life is caught in a vortex, the lines between the real and the imaginary get blurred. It takes just a rotation of ninety degrees to move from the real to the imaginary axis.

Was away from long long time from the blogging world. But couldnt stop myself any more from seeing your collection of poems!

Let me add my two cents to the discussions going on here. Now, do we have the demons inside us right from the beginning..no..right?? Then from where do these demons come? IMHO, they come from the external circumstances. So, kill those external demons and the internal will die its own death or atleast go in the hiding !

Well, you are entitled to differ. I think you might have known till now that I am not your conventional type ;)!

Soha, glad that you keep passing by these deserted terrrains :)

The demons are there in us from the beginning. They just choose to surface depending on the conditions. Once you vanquish the demons inside, the conditions become immaterial.
So changing the circumstances is a short term cure, killing the internal demons is the permanent solution, the nirvana.
Easier said than done!!

And yes, I have know from long that you belong to the league of extraordinary gentlemen, unlike us lesser mortals. ;)

Should i start thinking philosophically about every thing i get or loose in my life ..what if i say i believe to take everything as it comes ? Am i wrong or complacent ?
